J.D. has been guiding high net worth clients to, and through, retirement since early 2011. He believes in educating his clients so that they understand how to better manage the financial obstacles that arise on their journeys.
Retirement is a delicate balance of financial planning and psychological preparation. As a Wealth Manager, J.D. attempts to coordinate all aspects of retirement into a thoughtful plan of action for clients that can then be executed by the White Hawk Wealth team.
Prior to founding White Hawk Wealth Management, he was a Financial Advisor at Edward Jones from 2011 to 2017. In 2017, J.D. decided to become an Independent Wealth Manager and created White Hawk Wealth Management. Prior to that he owned 2 different residential real estate companies and negotiated over $12 million worth of short sales in 2008 (earning him “Rookie of the Year” for the Longmont Board of Realtors). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University in 2006, where he was a full-ride scholarship swimmer for 4 years.
In 2021, J.D. successfully met the standards required by the CFP Board, including completing the education and examination requirements, and became a CFP® practitioner. He also holds the AWMA® (Accredited Wealth Management Advisor), CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor), and AAMS® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) designations from the College for Financial Planning (www.CFFP.edu).
J.D. lives in Broomfield, Colorado with his wife Mary, son Reagan, and Labrador Rory. We enjoy playing a lot of sports and spending time outdoors golfing, fishing, and camping whenever they can.
CRPC® conferred by College for Financial Planning.
